Initiative of Field marshal Ayub Khan, the then Commander in Chief of Pakistan Army, who laid the foundation stone of Cantonment Public School Peshawar on 22nd May, 1952, with the aim to produce good muslims, efficient citizens and balanced personalities. However, these institutions (143 in total) were converted to FG Schools and Colleges in 1975, under the Nationalization Policy.

To maintain the glorious tradition of imparting quality education with the aim to produce good muslims, efficient citizens and balanced personalities; up gradation of existing and development of new, modern and state of art educational institutions was undertaken in phased program.
